– Massimo Vignelli
Like Mr. Vignelli, I believe design is a mindset. A way of thinking. An ability to take an idea and bring it to life.
I’ve never been one to be tied to a specific design discipline or a design “style.” I believe design and creative direction should be inspired by the problem at hand. For example, the unique business challenges, emotive goals, or functional needs experienced by an audience / end-user. It’s through understanding the problem that creative connections are established, which then informs the aesthetic, functional, and experience design qualities. A mix of passion & curiosity has lead me to explore multiple corners, mediums, “styles” of design through the years. This multidisciplinary background has helped me draw insights from diverse experiences when working with clients. So far, so good.
With over a decade of experience, I believe design is a tool that can improve our world. That belief is what inspires me to keep creating the best work possible. Every project is an opportunity to grow and create something more impactful than the last. Sometimes that opportunity is helping a business grow its impact and scale through design. Other times it’s bringing awareness to a meaningful cause. Creativity for change is the main reason why I am a designer and choose to create.
